The Butler Trust is an independent charity which recognises excellence and innovation by people working with offenders in the UK.

Chairman of The Butler Trust Sir Trevor Brooking, Patron of the Trust, HRH The Princess Royal and Director Anne Fragniere enjoy the 2006 award ceremony.Through its Annual Award Scheme and Development Programme, the Trust helps to develop effective care for offenders by:

identifying and promoting excellence and innovation by Prison and Probation Service and criminal justice social work staff, contractors and volunteers;

developing and disseminating best practice in the care and resettlement of offenders throughout the UK;

providing professional and personal development opportunities for award-winning staff.
